We all know that when it comes to hiking, biking, and hunting in mountainous terrain, your fitness is what is the deciding factor from reaching your goal to calling in the rescue team.  

The 28 Day Mountain Fit Challenge was developed when I was on a long backpacking trip with an experienced hiker and a group of novice hikers.  The novice hikers thought they were ready for the challenge because they can bench press a ton of weight.


Long story short, one day in the a 4 day backpacking trip, I was carrying two additional packs and gear because three of the novice hikers, yes the guys whom pretended to be in shape, physically could not carry their packs and get back to the car.
